Empowering Youth Through Reproductive Health Services and Psychosocial Support
In the past month, in collaboration with PKBI (Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association), we have reached out to 1120 beneficiaries aged between 10 and 24 years. Our activities have been focused on providing comprehensive reproductive health services and essential psychosocial support to the youth in our community.
Reproductive Health Services
In partnership with PKBI, we established dedicated health service tents, offering adolescents medical assistance and psychosocial support. Our efforts have been extended through 12 mobile outreach initiatives, ensuring that even those with limited accessibility are not left behind. While our hotline services saw limited usage among the youth, we discovered that personal appointments and interactive activities, like group discussions and informative sessions, proved more effective in delivering reproductive health guidance.
Psychosocial Support
Working closely with PKBI, we set up static and mobile psychosocial support centers at the Sehati Sports Complex in Sukawangi. We organized engaging adolescent activities, fostering a space to heal and recover from emotional stress. Additionally, our community organizers and young volunteers actively conducted awareness campaigns targeting those impacted by trauma. Focusing on youth resilience and aiding them in returning to a sense of normalcy post-disaster, our outreach efforts have touched the lives of 1,120 adolescents.
In summary, our collaborative efforts with PKBI have enabled us to provide essential reproductive health services and psychosocial support to many youths over the past month. By adapting our approach to better suit the community's needs, we've made a tangible impact on the lives of the adolescents we serve. We sincerely thank our donors for their continued support in making these efforts possible.
