Mujeres Indigenas Mujeres Empresarias - 2nd Report

By Haydee Reyes | Project Coordinator

In Educampo, we are very proud of the progress of our beneficiaries, and everything has been possible thanks to you! During this last two months, we have obtained the following results:

Num. of women served: 180

Num. of consolidated working groups: 29

Num. of women’s cooperatives (network): 5

Indirect beneficiaries: 720

Num. of municipalities attended: 15

Num. of locations attended: 27

In addition to this, we carried out 29 socioeconomic and gender diagnoses, which let us know the initial situation of the beneficiaries and help us to be able to evaluate their progress throughout the entire year.

In Campeche, at the southeast of México, 28 beneficiaries inaugurated 4 production workshops (3 textiles and 1 bakery). Likewise, the Company Emprendedoras Campechanas began commercialization with its own Brand, “Manitas artesanas”. In Oaxaca, the Company Flores Costeñas carried out a deal with Cielito Lindo Café (a Company which sells coffee and have coffee shops along México) to sell jam of hibiscus flower (jamaica) throughout February.

Finally, we are really pleased to inform that 13 indigenous women, from Campeche and Yucatán, have graduated from our program. Those women have showed, for second year in a row, a high performance and commitment with the achieve of the planted objectives at beginning of 2018, demonstrating in themselves a high development of a series of capacities both personally and entrepreneurs level. Thus, they are able to continue working independently on their productive project, but also to maintain a positive field in other areas of their daily and family life.

All this has been possible thanks to your donation.

You can change the lives of more indigenous women, share this initiative with family and friends, help us to continue sowing work!

Thank you for believing in their dreams!
