The seedlings are growing and the conversations are happening to finalize efforts, locations, and volunteers for 2018. With planting season right around the corner, it’s time to start planning and re-kindling the relationships that have made for such a successful tree planting program on Tribal Lands in the United States. We are still on target for 35,000 trees on the Pine Ridge Reservation and potentially a few other locations. As mentioned in our previous report, we have a strong connection and partnership with the Colorado State Forest Service who have been instrumental in our continued effort! Additionally, with Print Relief on board, they bring financial support and quality control to ensure transparency.
We are fortunate to have so much support for this project and we look forward to years of doing this work; it is a pleasure and an honor. It is not without a great appreciation for our supporters, volunteers, workers, and partnerships across various reservations. Your gifts will continue to reduce greenhouse gases, improved air and water quality, reduced soil erosion, re-established wildlife habitat, and enhanced ecosystem resiliency while engaging Native Americans in the protection of their lands. Thank you for your continued support!
