Dear Donor, please receive a warm greeting. We are writing to express our deepest thanks for your donation, contributions from donors like you provide the financial and moral support needed to accomplish our mission of providing a quality health center to the disabled children of the deprived communities of the Punta Cana region

We are very happy and proud to inform you that the Inauguration Ceremony of the  Center for Disabled Children (The only one in the eastern region of the DR) was held in the last December, with the attendance of Mrs. Candy de Medina (the First Lady of the DR), Mrs. Haydee Rainieri (Vice President of Fundacion Grupo Puntacana), Mr. Frank Rainieri (President of Fundacion Grupo Puntacana) , executives and representatives of Grupo Puntacana (parent company of our Foundation) community leaders, representatives of our partner entities, local authorities among other special invitees.  What an emotional moment !

In addition to the administrative and operational areas, the center offers the following services:

  • Evaluation and Diagnosis
  • Social work
  • Pediatrics and Psychiatry
  • Nursing Area
  • Physiatry and Nutrition
  • Speech therapy
  • Early Care Therapy
  • Behavioral Intervention Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Family therapy

In recent months, we have been involved in the staff recruiting, personnel  training and equipping activities. In this regard, specialists from Akron Children’s Hospital taught a workshop on neuropsychology to the medical staff of the center in the last February.

In this first stage, the center is serving the disabled children (0-12 years old) with the basic needed equipment but there are still many needs to meet in terms of equipment (audiovisual , electroencephalography, more desktop computers, others), staff training and supplies. We look forward to a continuing partnership with you.

 Please see the pictures attached.

We at Fundación Grupo Puntacana are continually inspired by the generosity of donors like you, who respond  the call to give to those most in need.

We will keep you informed about the progress of the project. If you have any comment, advice or question, please feel free to direct them to us and we will answer as best we can.

There is no way to fully express our gratitude for your support.

Best wishes,
