Kenya, with a population of approximately 55 million, has 15 million people (28% of the population) lacking access to safe water. Increasing water demand and scarcity, exacerbated by climate change, population growth, urbanization, water pollution, and poor water resource management, has created a severe water crisis. This issue is particularly acute in rural areas and urban slums, where piped water infrastructure is often unavailable, calling for stakeholders engagement for innovation.
