We are delighted to report that our project to extend and upgrade the nursery school at Kiteghe Primary is now complete and that the facility has been handed back to the school, ready for the children to occupy it from the start of next term in May.
The completion of this project marks another important milestone in our on-going, long-term redevelopment of Kiteghe Primary School which, so far, has also included the construction of a kitchen and a library facility. The upgrade of the nursery building has ensured it now has the requisite three classrooms along with safer and cleaner sanitation facilities, improved access to clean water and a more conducive learning environment courtesy of brighter and cleaner classrooms, sufficient furniture for every pupil as well as a playground where children can engage in learning through play.
In all the project has cost more than £17,500/$22,000 and although we only raised a small proportion of this through GlobalGiving, we were able to make up the shortfall from our fundraising elsewhere.
Many thanks for your support and we hope you may be able to support some of our other projects on GlobalGiving in the future.
