As we begin a new year, the nursery pupils at Kiteghe Primary School can look forward to beginning the new school year in their fully upgraded nursery school as work on our redevelopment project enters its final stages.
The extension and upgrade of the main classroom building is complete apart from painting and glazing, which is on-going and due for completion in the coming days. The new toilet block has come up rapidly over the last couple of weeks and is also nearing completion.
We have begun to make preparations for the new playground area too, however we cannot install the equipment and do the groundworks until the existing toilets which currently occupy this area have been decommissioned and destroyed, and the area cleared, levelled and made safe. We will wait until the new toilets are operational before doing this!
By the time our next report is due in April we fully expect all works to be complete and the nursery school to have re-opened, and we look forward to bringing you photos of the completed works as well as some messages from the school.
From all the team at African Promise and on behalf of the Kiteghe school community we wish you a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year for 2017.
