We are happy to announce that we got news of 9 babies born to women who got medical cares at the APLAFA´s Clinics; with the birth of the last baby of this first list, we will be already for open our program to other group of vulnerable pregnants womens.
During this period, since september 2021, APLAFA provides continuous support to the mothers, covering their medical expenses on laboratories, ginecologycal and obstetric services; and on some special cases, nutritional professional atention. After the births, APLAFA decide to contribute with a long term contraception for the mothers, and with the pediatric atenttion for the babies.
Meanwhile, our nurses and doctors make sure to provide advice on issues such as prevention of domestic violence, breast cancer and HIV / STIs; in addition, to provide orientation in family planning.
The stories of each woman, are deeplies and diverses. Some of them are studiyng and the support of APLAFA was the diference between stay and leave the university; others, are woman living really far of the principals public health centers, and a free medical assistant is a big oportunnity. They need for such help, is great and we are happy that we can offer for free, without your help all this would become imposible.
