Buenos días, espero que estés bien.
Today I want to give you excellent news: the first baby of this project was born recently and she is a beautiful girl. We saw her mom come month after month for her pregnancy follow-up appointments, and now she has finally brought the baby with her to her first pediatrics appointment. We are very grateful and very aware of what this means in the life of each person who is served at APLAFA, thanks to donors like you.
Every OB/GYN appointment, every lab exam – covered by your donations – ensures that mother and baby are healthy, that there is a promising future for them. And it provides the necessary information for the medical staff to make the right decisions at the time of delivery and for both to receive timely treatment if necessary. Thus reducing the chances of maternal and child mortality.
Something very important that we have integrated into this project is that, once a woman has given birth, she can access a long-lasting contraceptive method that will provide her with up to three years of protection. Reducing the chances of unplanned pregnancies and giving her the opportunity to follow her personal, academic and professional projects.
Add other donors, invite her friends and family. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the reduction of maternal and infant mortality, unplanned pregnancies and increase early diagnosis of diseases.
Have a nice day!
