This project report is focused on the need to supply clean and safe drinking water to victims of oil spills particularly the children and women who fetch the water in 20 communities in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state whose sources of clean water have been polluted and contaminated by crude oil.spills disasters.
The initiative is to protect vulnerable children, women, youths,disabled from drinking oily water which causes cancer of various forms and other petroleum hydrocarbons related and waterborne diseases.
Our nonprofit Organization, Environment Aware And Restoration NETWORK ( EARN) will provide clean water through tankers and boreholes to maintain good sanitary conditions necessary for healthy development.and living.
Study predicts epidemic of cancer in Nigeria oil producing areas of Niger Delta region in 2025.
EARN has not been able to generate donations so far from GlobalGiving platform.
The good news is that Benevity causes platform through the UK Online Giving Foundation has started to generate support and donations for EARN.
