Since December 12, 2022, a situation has arisen that many might not be aware of. During this time, the Lachin corridor, which serves as a connection between Armenia and Artsakh, has been obstructed by Azerbaijani protestors. The primary reason for their protest is reportedly their concern about the alleged unlawful extraction of natural resources in Artsakh. This demonstration has resulted in the disruption of regular movement of both people and goods, including essential supplies like food, fuel, and medical resources. Consequently, a scarcity of necessary products has affected the enclave's population of over 120,000 individuals. The ongoing blockage of the corridor and the resulting famine for this substantial population has also hindered efforts to provide housing and construct new accommodations for students hailing from Artsakh.
Over the last three months, we've managed to gather approximately $300 in donations. With these funds, we made the decision to purchase three bedside tables. We remain optimistic about receiving further contributions in the coming times, which will allow us to undertake more dormitory renovations. As a result, we can accommodate an increased number of students.
