Support with Housing of Students Affected my War

The previous year was a very hard one because of the pandemics and it hit Armenians twice, as we also lived through a horrible war in Artsakh. Thousands of people who left their houses had to start a new life out of their homeland. Many school-aged children were left without homes and access to education.

From the very first days of the war, the Shirakatsy Lyceum hosted a family from Artsakh and began fundraising for the project. This family has been living here since November and as the new school year is about to begin in September, the Lyceum is very happy to welcome seven more students from Arstkah who will live and study here.
Our fundraising project in GlobalGiving aims to renovate one more room for two students who will continue their education at the Lyceum. As we haven't reached our goal, we decided to spend the funds that we already received in order to renovate the dormitory lobby. The renovation of the lobby was originally the idea of one of the Lyceum students who started her own fundraising and renovated the lobby with the help of our foundation. She managed to gain enough amount in order to renovate it. With the donations from GlobalGiving we managed to finalize the furnishing of the lobby.
