For the past eight years WHPCA has been supporting our colleagues in Bangladesh providing home palliative care to 150 patients each day in the city of Narayanganj (a city near Dhaka). We have been able to help support this work with grant funding. Unfortunately, the funder paused funding for a year. While we expect funding to continue next year we need support from the global community to keep our palliative care assistants paid and for food and medicine to continue to be provided.
These assistants are trained in palliative care and work very hard caring for the seriously ill and disabled every day in the community, backed up by specialist palliative care doctors, nurses, and therapists from Bangladesh Medical University. You can see a short video about the work being done in Narayanganj at:

Please show your support and help us through this difficult time!!
