SANA EN CASA – Quarterly Impact Report

July–September 2026

During the third quarter of 2026, SANA EN CASA continued its mission of improving the quality of life of vulnerable families caring for loved ones with serious illnesses or disabilities at home. Through medical equipment loans, essential supplies, community outreach, and partnerships, we expanded our reach and strengthened our support network.

Social Impact

During this quarter, 81 new patients joined our support programs: 72 in Nuevo León and 9 in Michoacán.

Dignified Care Campaigns – Michoacán

Thanks to donations from OXXO customers through the Change for Change round-up program, we organized two community support campaigns.

On July 16, in Zinapécuaro, 66 families received essential medical equipment and supplies.

On September 22, in Indaparapeo, our Social Work team provided medical equipment and essential supplies to more than 50 families. An outreach campaign helped us identify and reach vulnerable households in the surrounding communities.

Bimonthly Distribution of Essential Supplies

On September 10 and 11, with the generous support of the Maíz Velarde Foundation, we distributed more than 100 packages of adult diapers and over 50 wound care kits to families caring for loved ones at home.

These supplies help reduce the financial burden on caregivers and ensure that patients receive dignified care.

A Heart for an Older Adult

In August, we launched a special campaign to support three bedridden older adults—Elena, Eleuterio, and Samuel—who face serious medical conditions and have limited support networks.

All three found generous sponsors who provided diapers, groceries, blankets, and nutritional supplements, bringing relief and comfort to their families.

Building Partnerships and Community Connections

We participated in the NGO Fair organized by Fundación Promax, strengthening relationships with other nonprofit organizations and raising awareness of our mission.

We also participated in Global4Her's first anniversary celebration, where our President was invited to share experiences with women business leaders. Global4Her generously donated medical equipment, including rollators, to strengthen our equipment loan program.

Community Health Days – FRISA Foundation

On September 12 and 14, we participated in the Community Health Days organized by the FRISA Foundation in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.

Our team provided personalized guidance and collected information from more than 15 families, whom we will assist in applying for our support programs.

These events help us reach families who might otherwise be unaware of the assistance available to them.

Behind Every Act of Support – Owen Alejandro's Story

We shared the moving testimony of Owen Alejandro's family. After suffering cardiorespiratory arrests, Owen became bedridden and lost the ability to speak or move independently.

His parents shared their experience, their hopes for his future, and their gratitude toward everyone who makes it possible for families like theirs to receive support.

Their story reminds us that behind every donation is a family facing extraordinary challenges with love and courage.

Looking Ahead

This quarter reinforced the importance of working together with donors, foundations, community organizations, and families.

We remain committed to expanding access to medical equipment, essential supplies, and guidance, helping families provide dignified care at home while protecting their financial and emotional well-being.

Together, we are building a stronger support network so that no family has to face the challenges of caring for a loved one alone.
