1. Introduction
The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the progress and ongoing efforts in our Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Program through health literacy. The program aims to enhance awareness and knowledge about diabetes prevention by offering educational content in an engaging format to participants.
2. Program Overview
Since its inception in July 2024, our program has focused on developing around 18 research-based scripts that provide valuable information on:
These scripts are designed to be transformed into engaging video content, which will be shared via social media platforms. Each video is accompanied by a set of five multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and a takeaway PDF containing the research script in order to reinforce learning and measure participant engagement. The YouTube team is leading the development of the narrative style for these videos to ensure accessibility and effectiveness.
Currently, we are completing approximately two scripts per week and sending them directly to the YouTube team, with whom we have direct connections. We are actively editing our scripts through cooperative work to determine which parts will be included in the videos and which will remain as research scripts. We are also collaborating on selecting images, diagrams, and other visual elements that will enhance the videos. The YouTube team then converts these elements into narrative-style scripts and produces the videos which will be 22-3 minutes long .
People who sign up for this four-month program will receive these videos and additional program information via email or text messages. Additionally, these videos will be published on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. This approach helps participants reinforce their knowledge while allowing us to assess their level of understanding. Participants in the program will have lifetime access to all materials and content. In the future this program content might change according to new information and research papers.
3. Workshops and Participant Engagement
As part of the program, we will conduct monthly workshops to provide participants with direct interaction opportunities. These workshops will allow participants to ask any questions they may have and engage in cooperative discussions about various diabetes-related topics. The sessions will be structured as friendly, open conversations—similar to speaking with a friend—to enhance the overall experience and encourage meaningful dialogue. This initiative will further strengthen participant engagement and support their learning journey.
4. Sponsor Outreach and Collaboration
To further support our initiative, we are identifying potential sponsors who can contribute organic and nutritional products for our participants. Currently, we are evaluating these sponsors to ensure their goals and values align with our program’s mission. Establishing these partnerships will enhance the sustainability and impact of our goals .
5. Patient Information Database and Surveys
We have implemented a shared patient information database to analyze participant health trends and symptoms. This database is structured around survey responses that gather insights in a conversational and friendly manner, making participants feel more comfortable sharing their experiences. This approach also strengthens patient advocacy by incorporating their voices into our program’s framework.
6. Focus Group Sessions and Program Enhancements
A recent focus session was conducted with participants to gather their feedback and opinions about the program. Their insights have been instrumental in refining and improving our content to better meet their needs. We continue to enhance and edit our program based on their valuable input.

All aspects of our program are well-structured and adhere to strict timelines. We hold weekly sessions to review progress, address challenges, and ensure smooth execution. The program operates with a clear organizational framework to maintain consistency and effectiveness in delivering its objectives.
