Farm animals for the families in need
On Wednesday, 30th March 10 hens (egg layers), 6 pigs, 1 cock and one rabbit found their new home thanks to the six families in needs in Orava region.
These animals will be of a great help also for a family with 2 disabled children, and for a 76-year-old active and optimistic grandmother taking care of her 3 grandchildren.
Thanks to your help, we were able to provide them with everything they need to take care of themselves.
Preparing fields and planting first seeds of vegetables
Throughout April we have been continuing with the preparation of our fields for vegetable planting. We have prepared and cultivated land for farming, digged holes and made seed furrows. We helped with building up a few raised garden bedswho for the families who don´t have an appropriate garden field. We also successfully managed to plant some first sorts of vegetables like peas, lettuce, beans and radish.
