Cooking lessons for needy families

By Anton Michalica | Project Leader

Healthy and cheap cooking for families

Our most popular project (loved by all children) is cooking and baking. As we found out, during last decades lot of families have stopped to engage children in cooking and baking. Several consenquences, as the loss of competences and unhealthier way of living followed.

Together with Relief home for mothers with children we teach children how to cook and bake simple, health and cheap food by using local fruits and vegetables.

Peter is 10 years old boy, he stays in relief home with his mother and two sisters. He really enjoys everything about baking. After several lessons Peter is able to prepare independently basic meals.

During december 2018 and January 2019 we have completed seven cooking and baking lessons.

New project - healing herbs growing

We are working together with families on new project, that can provide them extra income from healing herbs growing. As we found out, there is a demand for healing herbs, that can be used for making tea as well as very tasty kitchen additive.

Darina is a mother of eight children, two of the children have physical disabilities. She is limited when trying to find a new job due to her home duties. Darina and her husband will grow 40 species of healing herbs and sell them to potentional buyers. Our association plans to help them with finding and adressing the buyers.
