Namaste Everyone
I hope this report finds you and your family well.
I am glad to report that the worst of Covid from a medical point of view seems to be over. But we are not complacent at all. There is talk of a third wave and the team is doing everything they can to prepare. As we said in the project description Covid is going to be with us for a long time and our response needs to be too. Despite the worst of the pandemic at present here in Bihar seems to have passed for now our work is far from over. This a summary of the teams’ activities recently...
Organising vaccinations in the villagers and isolated rural areas targeting the most vulnerable.
Continuing care for covid orphans in our care working with families, communities and other agencies to place them with their best interests in mind.
Working with migrants and families who have lost their breadwinner or cannot find daily work with training programmes and help to start micro business such as small stalls and income raising initiatives.
Advice on preventative measures.
Providing antigen tests
The economic and social devastation that Covid caused is still very much with us and will be present for some time to come.
We believe our programme is targeted effective and is making in huge difference in people lives.
As you know we are working in some of the poorest areas in all of India.
Thank you for your support. We still need it.
You have made a big positive difference to so many who remain so grateful for your help
THANK YOU!
Priya
