With the current climate change, poor communities in Kinshasa and other places in the Democratic Republic of Congo are victims of flooding, lighting and other consequences caused by rivers. The management of garbage is a problem, the lack of the canalization of water, lack of trees in the communities and the lack of proper ways for the water, and the dumping all bottles in the rivers and among the challenges.
We shall support the community leadership to solve all these problems by putting in place Environment Brigade Committee, engaging the communities to plant trees, build a wall on River Lukunga, and supporting the survivors with Income Generating Activities including the building of social infrastructure such as Community School, Community Market, leisure places among others.
To end completely the flooding in this areas and help the government, the development partners to learn a lesson how our approach can end flooding in Kinshasa in order to help people live peacefully and develop. This also helps to fight against poverty and destitution among poor communities and boost people's resilience capacities to these calamities. But also have in place children who can study in order to become a human resource for their communities.
