We are providing adolescents with the tools and support needed to navigate the challenges of adolescence and prepare for a brighter future. The success of this project is a testament to the transformative power of comprehensive community-based initiatives in shaping the lives of young individuals. Continued support from GlobalGiving and other stakeholders is crucial for sustaining and expanding the positive impact of Lifting Hands.
Lifting Hands has already demonstrated significant positive impacts on the lives of the participants. The creation of a safe space has provided a refuge for youth in the neighborhood, while academic support has led to improved grades and a deeper understanding of subjects. The project's emphasis on employment skills, psychological well-being, and physical health has contributed to the holistic development of the participants. Despite these successes, the project faces challenges such as limited resources and the need for sustained community support. Efforts are underway to secure additional resources through partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and governmental agencies to ensure the continued success and growth of the initiative.
A testimony from a participant underscores the real impact of Lifting Hands: "Before Lifting Hands, I felt lost and without a direction. Now, I have a place to go where I not only receive academic support but also learn about life, develop skills for my future, and feel part of a supportive community. This project has truly changed my life."
