This project will allow widows and other vulnerable women in Malawi (Africa) to care for their own young children by providing them with materials to start a sewing/tailoring business.
Women are the caregivers of children that live in African bush communities. They must be empowered in order to sustain a livelihood in this poverty stricken region of Maliya, Malawi.
The sewing business will provide an income to women in bush communities so they can independently care for own their children and the children of their deceased family members.
The project will - Enhance the health and education of the women and children - Supply jobs for the women of the local Maliya community - Stabilize local economies, minimize handouts and establish the spirit of self-dependency
