We are now almost one year into our new larger rented premises and what a busy year it has been. We are experiencing an unprecedented demand for the Services at our Drop-In Centre. With your support, we helped over 2,500 people in 2013 and this figure is set to grow in 2014.
Have a look at our short video to see our Centre in action http://www.braycancersupport.ie/?page_id=1834
Close evaluation of our statistics for the past year has shown that the availability of a daily Drop-In facility where people can access support, information, counselling, complimentary therapies, relaxation and group sessions is what people want. Along with access to support for the family, those who care for a loved one, and children and young people affected by cancer. Information on Entitlements was another busy clinic.
This in turn has prompted us to focus our resources on strengthening theday to day services that are available to those who need us.
Going forward we aim to expand the activities that are utilised the most within our Centre and extend our links with other community based support services to offer a wider range of other activities that may be of benefit.
We are at the heart of the community and funded almost entirely by community and voluntary donations. We appreciate all fund raising events and donations to our Centre to allow us to continue to provide our services to those who need us.
We could not do this without you, thank you for your continued support to our work. It is very much appreciated.
