School on Wheels logo is a school bus and staff at School on Wheels affectionately refer to 'her' as Bussy! (Just in case you were wondering where we got the title from.)
We ran this project through November and December 2013, to encourage people to donate over the holidays. We made this a social media campaign and used Global Giving as the primary donation portal. We added a 'pop up' on our website and also created an email campaign and contacted over 10,000 people. Our goal was $5,000 and we exceeded this amount by over $1,000, which was great!
School on Wheels depends on the generosity of individual donors to continue to provide tutors and mentors for homeless children. In 2013, we raised nearly $250,000 in donations from individual donor.
