Too often, child refugees lose their education as well as their homes. Their teachers often lack access to the resources they need to deliver a strong learning environment. The Tekkatho Foundation works to deliver immediate, affordable and effective solutions to this problem. We build digital libraries for schools and temporary learning spaces serving refugee-hosting communities in Myanmar. Our work is made more urgent by the huge number of people forced to flee conflict since the military coup.
Hundreds of thousands of young people living in refugee camps in Myanmar struggle to access the learning opportunities they need. By building tough, portable digital libraries that work without an internet connection, our projects deliver quick, effective solutions to this problem.
Our solution is to build self-contained digital libraries in refugee camps, connecting Myanmar's offline learners to the best of the world's open educational resources. Our libraries are packed full of school textbooks, videos, quizzes and games to help student learn, plus teaching resources for the new national curriculum. With your support, we can provide access to world-class educational materials to help people of all ages to gain an education and make a real change to their life chances
We are committed to providing access to education to some of the most remote and marginalised young people in Myanmar. And we will continue to do this no matter what political changes occur. With the support of partners and donors, we are working to set up educational infrastructures across the whole country so young people can stay in mainstream schooling and benefit from the opportunities digital technologies bring wherever they study.
