Aside from the regular distribution of relief goods and everyday hot meals for the Typhoon Yolanda survivors, the Childrens’ Joy Foundation, Inc. donated 1 unit Generator set to Brgy. Dona Brigida of Tolosa, Province of Leyte, Philippines last November 25, 2013.
The generator set, that can provide power supply to about 500 households, given through CJFI Project Leader Riene Tagupa, was received by no other than the Municipal Mayor of Tolosa, Leyte, Mr. Erwin Ocana.
The mayor was so happy and is very thankful to Children's Joy for the Genset donated. He stated that they have been enduring sleepless nights under the dark due to the unavailability of electricity since Yolanda’s wrath and said donation served as a big help for them in terms of communication for now they will be able to recharge their mobile phones and connect to their loved ones.
Tolosa is a small munipality with 15 barangays of about 17 thousand population. It is a coastal town of Leyte where thousands of houses were wipe out by Yolanda.
Let’s continue helping out to those in dire need! Let’s make them feel remembered even with the simplest gesture that we can offer.
