Some stories have remained untold for more than a decade. Some wounds have never had the chance to heal.

For 20 Syrian women — mothers, wives, and daughters of missing loved ones — the pain of not knowing what happened to their families has become a daily burden.

Thanks to your generous support, these women finally found a safe space to speak, be heard, and begin healing.

During our latest psychosocial support session, the women participated in emotional release exercises, stress-management techniques, and confidence-building activities designed to help them regain their strength and sense of control.

But the most powerful moment came when they began sharing their stories.

They spoke about the day their loved ones disappeared, the years of unanswered questions, and the painful memories they had carried silently for so long.

For some, it was the first time they had ever spoken about these experiences.

There was no pressure, no judgment, and no need to explain their pain. Just a safe, compassionate space where they were understood.

Several women shared that they had never experienced anything like it before.
