Not Just Information - Answers for Real Cases

By Yasmina | Project Leader

Dear Valued Donor,

Legal information becomes truly meaningful when a woman can understand what it means for her own situation.

On June 29 in Daraya, the same 15 women from Group 13 returned for their second legal awareness session.

This time, the discussion focused on two issues that deeply affect many Syrian families: procedures related to missing persons and civil documentation for families returning home.

Because the group was intentionally small, the facilitator was able to go beyond general explanations.

Several women shared their own circumstances, asked questions specific to their cases, and received step-by-step guidance tailored to what they were facing.

For some participants, that meant finally understanding which documents they needed.
For others, it meant knowing where to begin, who to approach, or what procedure could apply to their family.

By the end of the session, the women did not leave with information alone.

They left with clearer next steps for their own lives.

Your support helps make this kind of personalized guidance possible — giving women not only knowledge of their rights, but practical tools to navigate difficult and often confusing legal processes.

Thank you for helping women and families move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and dignity.

With heartfelt appreciation,
