From Learning the Skills to Leading the Room

By Yasmina | Project Leader

Dear Valued Donor,

The eighth session marked an important transformation in the program.

The women entered the room as participants—but they began leaving it as trainers.

The session focused on facilitation skills, participatory learning methods, and the responsibility of a trainer to create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. Participants explored the difference between simply presenting information and helping others understand, reflect, and participate.

Each woman was given the opportunity to design and deliver a short training session. They practiced speaking to a group, guiding discussions, managing participation, and responding to different learning needs.

They also received structured feedback from both facilitators and fellow participants. Learning how to give constructive feedback became an important skill of its own—helping the women support one another’s growth with honesty and respect.

As the micro-presentations began, the atmosphere in the room changed.

The participants were no longer only absorbing knowledge. They were discovering their own ability to lead, explain, encourage, and influence others.

Your support is helping women move beyond personal learning and prepare to transfer their knowledge to colleagues, communities, and future participants.

Thank you for investing in women who are becoming confident educators and agents of change.

When one woman becomes a trainer, the impact of one session can reach an entire community.

With sincere appreciation,
Freedom Jasmine Organization
