For many women living through prolonged hardship, survival often becomes the only priority. Personal needs, emotional well-being, and even moments of rest are pushed aside in favor of caring for children, managing households, and coping with daily uncertainty.
On April 27th, nineteen women gathered for the final session of their support program, focusing on resilience, personal well-being, and recognizing the resources they already carry within themselves.
Rather than discussing self-care as something distant or difficult to achieve, the session encouraged participants to explore realistic ways to protect their emotional and mental well-being amid the challenges they face every day. Through guided discussions and practical exercises, participants reflected on the importance of setting healthy boundaries, acknowledging their needs, and creating small moments of recovery within demanding circumstances.
One activity invited each participant to reflect on her personal strengths and qualities. For some women, this was unexpectedly challenging. Years of focusing on responsibilities and hardships had left little room to think about themselves.
As the exercise continued, however, the room gradually filled with confidence. Women began identifying qualities such as patience, determination, compassion, adaptability, and perseverance—strengths they use every day, often without recognizing them.
The session concluded with a renewed sense of self-awareness and encouragement. Participants left with practical strategies for maintaining their well-being and a deeper appreciation for the resilience they have developed through years of overcoming adversity.
Programs like these create more than learning opportunities; they help individuals reconnect with their own abilities, strengthen their confidence, and move forward with greater hope for the future.
Thank you for helping make these empowering moments possible.
