Some experiences do not follow a timeline. Some losses remain present long after the moment they occurred, shaping daily life in ways that are often unseen by others.
On April 26, nineteen women gathered for a psychosocial support session facilitated by Freedom Jasmine Organization. The smaller group size created an atmosphere of trust and openness, allowing participants to engage in deeper conversations and personal reflection.
The session focused on mental health and emotional awareness, with particular attention given to grief and its lasting impact. For many participants, loss is not a distant memory but an ongoing reality. Some women continue to live with the uncertainty of missing loved ones, while others carry the emotional weight of years spent waiting for answers that may never come.
Through guided discussions and supportive activities, participants explored how emotions such as sadness, uncertainty, fear, and longing can affect both mental and physical wellbeing. The session emphasized that these feelings are natural responses to difficult experiences and that acknowledging them is an important step toward emotional healing.
Throughout the session, women were encouraged to share their thoughts, listen to one another, and recognize that they are not alone in their experiences. The opportunity to speak openly in a respectful and supportive environment helped foster connection, understanding, and mutual encouragement among the participants.
While no single session can erase the impact of loss, creating space for reflection and emotional expression can help individuals better understand their experiences and strengthen their capacity to cope with ongoing challenges.
Your support makes these safe spaces possible. By investing in psychosocial wellbeing, you are helping women process difficult experiences, build resilience, and find strength through connection, understanding, and community support.
With gratitude,
Freedom Jasmine Organization (FJO)
