Real change rarely happens all at once. More often, it begins with small decisions, simple actions, and the belief that even in difficult circumstances, our wellbeing matters.
On April 23, twenty-five women participated in the second session of their psychosocial support journey with Freedom Jasmine Organization. Building on previous discussions, this session focused on a practical and often overlooked topic: self-care and its role in maintaining emotional wellbeing during times of uncertainty.
Together, participants explored the concept of self-care from a realistic perspective. Rather than viewing it as something distant or difficult to achieve, the session encouraged women to see self-care as a series of manageable actions that can help sustain emotional, physical, social, and mental wellbeing, even amid ongoing challenges.
Through guided discussions and interactive activities, each participant reflected on her daily routine and identified one personal step she could realistically take to support her own wellbeing in the coming days. These commitments varied from person to person, but they all shared a common purpose: creating space for care, balance, and resilience in everyday life.
The session concluded with a reflective exercise focused on inner strength and personal capacity. Participants were encouraged to recognize the resources they already possess—the qualities, skills, and experiences that help them navigate challenges and continue moving forward.
Sometimes the most meaningful outcomes are not dramatic or immediate. They are the quiet shifts in perspective that help people care for themselves, believe in their abilities, and take the next step forward with confidence.
Thanks to your support, women continue to gain practical tools, valuable insights, and safe spaces for reflection and growth. Together, we are helping individuals strengthen their wellbeing and build resilience that extends far beyond a single session.
With appreciation,
Freedom Jasmine Organization (FJO)
