Dear Supporter,
For many women affected by conflict and displacement, life becomes an endless cycle of caring for others while quietly neglecting themselves.
During the second psychosocial support session in Daraya, 25 women gathered once again — not to discuss survival alone, but to reconnect with themselves, their needs, and their inner strength.
The session opened an honest conversation about the emotional toll women carry every day: the exhaustion of responsibility, the pressure of uncertainty, and the silent burden of supporting families through crisis after crisis.
Together, the participants explored an important truth: self-care is not selfish. It is essential for emotional resilience, mental stability, and the ability to continue moving forward.
Through guided discussions and interactive activities, the women reflected on different dimensions of well-being — physical, emotional, professional, and spiritual. They spoke openly about stress, burnout, and the importance of creating even small moments of rest and meaning amid hardship.
One of the most powerful moments came when each participant was encouraged to reflect on her own abilities and strengths by asking simple but transformative questions:
“What am I good at?”
“What am I capable of?”
For many, this was the first time in years they had paused to recognize their own value beyond the roles and responsibilities imposed by crisis.
By the end of the session, the women left not only with new coping tools, but with renewed confidence in themselves and a reminder that their strength matters too.
Your support makes these safe spaces possible — spaces where healing begins, confidence is rebuilt, and women are reminded that they are not alone.
With appreciation,
Freedom Jasmine Team
