Thanks to your continued support, a second group of 27 women — family members of detainees and missing persons — recently gathered in Gaziantep for another impactful legal awareness session.
This session focused on reparations and victims’ rights, helping participants understand the legal and moral responsibility of the State toward victims and what families are entitled to claim, even when cases have not yet reached the courts.
The conversations were honest, emotional, and deeply connected to the realities these women live every day. For many participants, discovering that their rights are recognized in international law and in treaties signed by Syria was not only informative — it was empowering.
Women actively participated throughout the session, asking important personal questions and sharing concerns shaped by years of uncertainty and displacement. Surveys were also collected to support the ongoing research report and ensure these voices are documented and heard.
Your support is creating safe spaces for truth, knowledge, and dignity. It is helping families move from silence and confusion toward awareness and empowerment.
Thank you for making this possible.
With sincere gratitude,
