Help Syrian Women Rebuild Their Lives

Thank you for your continued support and belief in the power of women’s awareness, resilience, and leadership.

Freedom Jasmine recently concluded the final session of its legal awareness program in Daraya, bringing a ten-session journey to a close. Through this initiative, more than 100 women participated, helping build a clearer understanding of the challenges they face, the rights they seek to claim, and the future they are determined to shape.

The final session focused on the practical legal realities facing returning families, including civil documentation, children’s registration, marriage validation, and the first steps toward reclaiming rights that years of displacement had placed on hold.

As with every group, participants completed a final survey, contributing to a broader evidence-based research effort conducted across all five groups. Together, these findings will form a documented report on legal vulnerability, awareness, and resilience among women in post-conflict Daraya. This report will support ongoing advocacy efforts for policy change and stronger support systems for women and families rebuilding their lives.

What began as awareness sessions has become something greater: a platform for women to understand their rights, raise their voices, and strengthen their role in shaping their communities.

Awareness is the beginning. Justice is the goal.
