Our dear medical colleagues in Ukraine are defending themselves from Russian weapons and missles while continuing to care for the injured and dying. Learning to control pain and other symptoms of serious illness is vital to relieve suffering. Your support is making it possible for medical professionals throughout Ukraine to receive advanced training in palliative care. With regular online case conferences to discuss difficult cases with leading palliative care physicians in the US in cooperation with the All Ukraine Palliaive Care Association we are able to help upskill front line doctors and nurses. Our most recent case was a patient with intractable cancer pain and the use of a medicaiton pump into the spine. This unique approach requires no electricity (see picture below). Please support our joint efforts to relieve human suffering in Ukraine.
