Rebecca moved with her military spouse last year to Bahrain. As time went on he became more and more abusive - calling her names and insulting her. Then he began to get physically violent - pushing her and hitting the wall next to her head. Rebecca was afraid to tell anyone in the military for fear the abuse would get worse. She was also afraid her husband would lose his job.
After working with one of our case managers for several weeks, Rebecca decided that she needed to return home to the USA for safety. Here is a note from Rebecca:
"I was so confused. I love my husband but I can't accept the abuse. I can't thank you enough for helping me through the most difficult time of my life."
We want to thank you for helping us help stop military family violence abroad. The AODVC Team
