NEWAH implemented 63 WASH projects during 2025–26, benefiting 34,815 people across different districts of Nepal. These projects aim to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services in underserved communities while promoting healthier and more resilient living conditions.

This report highlights the utilization of the latest GlobalGiving contribution, which supported to construct one of the water supply systems in Dafle Kesari Water Community, Gaumukhi Rural Municipality, Pyuthan District, improving access to safe drinking water for 61 households (404 People, 214 Female and 190 Male). The Water Supply System will be managed by Water and Sanitation Users' Committee (WSUC), which has representatives from the community that is served by safe water service. The community is designed to be inclusive of representation with both men and women ensuring that women voices are also heard. To strengthen women's participation in planning and decision making process for WASH services, training was delivered on women's rights and the importance of women's participation in community development, strengthening women's confidence, leadership, and voice in decision-making related to WASH and broader community governance.

By combining essential WASH infrastructure with social inclusion initiatives, NEWAH is helping create healthier communities where women are empowered to lead, communities take greater ownership of local development, and sustainable improvements in water, sanitation, and hygiene can be achieved.
