Monsoon has ravaged Kerala and has wrecked havoc across the state with over 350 people dead, lakhs of people rendered homeless, over 3 lakh people in relief camps and and an estimated 20000 crores (200 billion) worth damages. This project is aimed at providing emergency relief support as well as help to provide long term rehabilitation in terms of help to rebuild homes, provide furniture, provide medical and psychological help, help to get back lost documents and in short to help rebuild Kerala
People affected by flood in Kerala have lost their homes, furniture, crops, all their earnings of a life time. Immediate relief measures have been pouring in from different quarters to relief camps. Now they need to rebuild their living space, clean their homes, repair affected buildings, buy furniture, clothes and essentials. They need to restart from scratch and this require huge resources. We are looking at supporting as many as possible to rebuild their lives.
This project is aimed at providing help to clean homes affected, buy essentials to restart, provide medical services, financial assistance buy furniture and repair homes. Those who have completely lost their homes will need help to rebuild their homes. We are aiming at concentrating those most in need as those with resources will be able to reestablish.
The long term impact will be better standard of living for those affected badly free from epidemics and psychological scars. Those affected by floods will come back to a more dignified life.
