This project empowers 120 children from Trivandrum's urban slums through the Children's Union, a platform for leadership and creative expression. Children lead awareness campaigns, perform street plays, and take part in clean-up drives and life-skill workshops. Your support will provide materials, costumes, and training to strengthen their efforts. Together, we can help these young voices create positive change in their communities and grow into confident, responsible citizens.
Children from urban slums in Trivandrum lack opportunities to express themselves, develop leadership skills, and participate in community development. Their voices are often unheard, and creative learning tools are inaccessible, limiting their confidence and active citizenship.
This project strengthens the Children's Union-a child-led platform-by providing costumes, materials, training, and support for creative community campaigns, performances, and clean-up initiatives. It uses art and leadership activities to build confidence, raise awareness, and help children become active, responsible participants in society.
Over time, this project will empower over 120 children to become confident leaders and community advocates. It builds a sustainable model of child participation, inspires peer-led action, and fosters social responsibility in underserved communities. Their influence will inspire cleaner neighborhoods, more informed families, and a stronger culture of child-friendly development.
