Monitoring and Evaluation of Tertiary Institution Students
During the period under review, the Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) conducted monitoring and evaluation activities targeting young women participating in various educational institutions. The exercise was aimed at assessing participants' academic progress, well-being, engagement in program activities, and the overall impact of CCCYD interventions on their personal and educational development.
A total of 11 female students were monitored and evaluated during the reporting period. Of these, 8 students were from Mukinge, while 3 students were from Kwame Nkrumah University. The monitoring process involved individual follow-up sessions, discussions on academic performance, personal development, and identification of challenges affecting their studies and general welfare.
The findings indicated that the majority of the students were progressing well academically and demonstrated increased confidence, resilience, and commitment towards achieving their educational goals. Students expressed appreciation for the mentorship, guidance, and support provided through CCCYD programs. However, some challenges related to financial constraints, access to learning materials, and accommodation were noted and will require continued follow-up and support.
CCCYD remains committed to strengthening its monitoring and support mechanisms to ensure that all beneficiaries receive the necessary guidance and assistance to successfully complete their studies and become productive members of society.
