Dear Friends and Supporters,
Through our GlobalGiving campaign, “Break Cycles of Poverty, Empower Single Women,” you have helped us walk alongside some of Nepal’s most vulnerable single mothers as they rebuild their lives from the ground up. We are writing today to share proof that this work succeeds and to introduce you to Ganga BK.
Attached is our latest Family of the Month feature: Ganga BK’s Journey to Independence. Ganga’s story is not simply heartwarming, it is a concrete, measurable success of the very project you support.
Why This Story Matters to the Sustainable Futures Project
Our GlobalGiving project exists to break a specific, well-documented cycle: single mothers in rural Nepal, often widowed young and landless, are left to raise children alone with no education, no assets, and no safety net. Without intervention, that hardship is passed on to the next generation. Our project's Long Term impact goal is for at least 25 single women, and as many as 100 family members, to become fully self-sufficient through vocational training, small enterprise seed-funding, and sustained mentoring.
Ganga is one of these 25 women, and her outcome is exactly the one the project was designed to produce:
How You Can Help Us Reach the Next 25
Our campaign goal is $20,000 to sustain this work for the women still waiting. Every contribution, at any size, funds a concrete next step from training a mother in poultry care to building the coop that lets her start earning. We warmly invite you to read Ganga’s full story in the attached feature, and if you are able, to consider a gift or a shared post on our campaign page below.
Thank you for standing with women like Ganga. Her story exists because you made room for it and there are more like hers still to be written.
It's simple.
It's simply BEF.
With sincere gratitude,
Surendra, Raymond & Team
