By Arturo Soto | Project Leader
Since the start of this project, we have been able to offer more free services to our beneficiaries—especially mental health support, including psychological therapy and assistance in psychiatric processes—all tailored to the needs of people experiencing homelessness. We currently provide at least 8 hours of psychological therapy per week to some of our 51 active beneficiaries.
We have also continued our art program, where participants explore self-expression through painting, sculpture, and photography. This program helps build self-esteem and fosters a sense of community. Every Thursday, we hold a two-hour art class where beneficiaries create pieces that are later showcased in collective exhibitions.
As from the beginning of our project, we continue to produce and publish a street paper that beneficiaries can sell to earn an income. Over the past few months, we have released three new issues, featuring diverse perspectives on our city—from acclaimed writers and photographers, as well as from our own beneficiaries.
None of this would be possible without your generous support and donations—thank you!
