Support Abandoned Mentally Challenged Children

Greetings to you all from Sri Arunodayam,

Sri Arunodayam Charitable Trust is a registered organisation that works for the well-being of mentally challenged children who have been abandoned by their families. Opened in 2002, the organization was founded on firm humanitarian values of love, care, and tireless service, enabling it to handle any humanitarian crises as they arise.

Although Sri Arunodayam’s main focus is on abandoned, mentally challenged children, it could not turn its eyes away from the terrible plight of other suffering people, especially during the recent floods in Chennai.

And so, armed with a heart for action, Sri Arunodayam opened its doors to all during this critical period, and together with the help of compassionate donors and volunteers, set about making an impact in the lives of those affected.

After the first ten days of relief work, Good Shepherd School, Nungambakkam,chennai joined hands with Sri Arunodayam and more than 50,000 meals, 2,000 school kits and 5,000 ration kits were distributed in the surrounding areas.

Thank you so very much for the timely support you provided, which helped us help the most affected during the floods in Chennai last year. Because you decided to step in, we were able to achieve all that we did.

Dear Friends and Well wishers,

Greetings from Sri Arunodayam, we and our children are fine and doing well. We are happy to inform that our children have been invited to celebrate the republic day in a grand manner at THE PRIDE Hotel which is a 4 star hotel in chennai. 

When India celebrates its 67th republic day the children of Sri Arunodayam were gifted to celebrate this Special day in an extraordinary way. While, these young innocent Children were invited for a fun filled event and a stomach full of Special lunch organized by THE PRIDE, a 4 star hotel in Chennai. These children first had a warm welcome with the welcome drink for everyone followed by the ice-cream.  They organized a magic show for these children, which made every participant very enthusiastic and involved in the show which made the occasion more special. 

These young buds had an opportunity to taste the star level lunch provided by the hotel. After a short break it was tunes time for the children, they tapped their feet for some of the dance numbers along with the staffs of the hotel to enjoy. They conducted a few games to play in order to engage them. Finally, they provided snacks and concluded with a vote of thanks for the event. The highlight of the event is that the staffs of the hotel were so patient and polite in attending these children and involving them in the event. They took special care of each and every one and mingled with everyone so easily. A moment of rejoicing and an excellent outing with enjoyable moments made each and every child to cherish this day so special. It was a big surprise and a gift for these special children through Sri Arunodayam to enjoy this golden opportunity.
