Balajothi thanks YOU, DONOR, for your generous contribution of $1220.17 to date, towards the educational support of Kavya, (name changed), a visually disabled girl student from an underprivileged family in KGF.  With the help of your support Kavya was able to pursue her studies and now, tragedy has struck, in her final year of studies.  She has developed severe headaches due to a defect in her vision and has been unable to concentrate on her studies.  On medical investigations it has been brought to the attention of her family that her eye sight has totally deteriorated and she will not be in any condition to see, much less, read.  Parents are frantically examining other alternatives and second opinion, if an eye surgery could be a remedy.  But Kavya, is determined to complete her college studies, even if it means to learn the braile language and start all over.

We hope to make a further report on her condition, in the months to come, when we will have a clearer picture of her eye condition.

This is indeed a tragic end to her education and dreams of higher goals.  Her family is working on funds required to the extent of 3 to 4 lakhs to even make an attempt for an eye transplant or surgical remedy.
