It is now September and I am happy to report that Amos has been recovering well. As you know, the doctor's original prognosis was poor to fair in terms of a full recovery and advised that he may likely require surgery on his lung due to the abcess that resulted from his pneumonia. This is of course being monitored but has not yet become a significant issue. He has gained his weight back, he is looking well, and you would never know he had any issues by watching how he plays with his pasture mates and gets around on the farm.
Thank you so much again for your continued support! Together we can make a difference in many horse's lives.
Please note that although we did not meet our funding goals for this campaign, our organization was able to fund Amo's recovery and aftercare costs through our operations and local fundraising activities. Any and all donations are important and every little bit counts. So please help spread the word to family and friends. We will continue to post updates and photos on our Facebook page keep you updated on progress as we move forward.
Thank you
