On March 20th Amos one of our Sanctuary Horses here at IGP had been admitted to the University of Georgia Large Animal Teaching Hospital for Chronic Pneumonia. Without extensive professional treatment Amos will not survive.
Our Sanctuary horse Amos had choked (food gets lodged in the esophagus) several weeks ago and from this he had fluid drain into his lungs which within a few short weeks has developed chronic pneumonia and a abnormal bacterial infection. Through sonogram procedure it was determined that the bacteria has indeed eaten much of two areas in both of his lungs, UGA doctors have determined that Amos will need surgery in the near future to clean out the bacterial damages to his lungs.
This campaign will help cover the necessary Hospital costs for present ongoing treatment, tests, as well as surgeries to save Amos's young Noble life. This will be quite costly. We were given the estimate of 3-$5,000. for antibiotic treatment without surgery and verbally told the cost would be considerably higher if surgery is needed, doubled if not tripled. Together, all of our supporters help can save Amos's life. *Please Remember even the smallest amount of donation does add up.
