Years of conflict in North Kivu have forced thousands of families into displacement camps around Goma. Women and girls are among the hardest hit. Many have lost their homes, income, and support networks. They face poverty, exploitation, gender-based violence, and daily uncertainty. Without economic opportunities, many struggle to feed their children, access healthcare, or rebuild their lives after displacement.
This project will help 100 displaced women and girls gain financial independence through vocational training and income-generating activities. Participants will learn tailoring, baking, small business management, and entrepreneurship. After training, they will receive startup grants, tools, and ongoing mentoring to launch micro-enterprises. Increased income will help families meet basic needs while reducing vulnerability and dependence on humanitarian aid.
