Help Build a Vocational CentreConstruction Update (May – July 2026)

We give thanks to God for His faithfulness and for the generosity of our donors, whose continued support is helping us bring our vision to reality. We are delighted to share that the vocational centre is now approximately 90% complete.

Every milestone brings us closer to providing a safe, modern, and sustainable learning environment where vulnerable young women can acquire vocational skills that will transform their lives.

Improved Training Environment

One of the major achievements during this period was the completion of tiling throughout the entire facility. The tiled floors have greatly improved the hygiene and cleanliness of the centre, creating a comfortable and conducive environment for vocational training.

Better Sanitation Facilities

To enhance sanitation and meet the growing needs of trainees, a second biodigester toilet system was installed. The centre now has two biodigesters, ensuring adequate sanitation facilities for students, staff, and visitors.

Exterior Finishing Progress

Construction has continued steadily, with plastering now almost complete. To improve the durability and appearance of the building while reducing future maintenance costs, the front façade of the vocational centre has been finished with natural stone cladding. This attractive finish will help protect the building and minimise the need for frequent repainting.

Reliable Water Supply Secured

One of the most exciting developments during this reporting period is that we received funding to drill a borehole for the vocational centre.

This is a significant milestone for the project. Reliable access to water is essential for catering and baking training, maintaining hygiene, and supporting the daily operations of the centre. With occasional interruptions in the public water supply, the borehole will ensure that training activities can continue without disruption.

Final Steps to Completion

With the project now about 90% complete, only a few finishing works remain. These include:

  • Painting the interior walls and the exterior areas that were not finished with natural stone.
  • Completing the exterior ceiling once the plastering work has been fully completed.

We are confident that, with God's continued provision and the support of our generous partners, these final works will soon be completed.

Thank You

To every donor who has supported this project, thank you. Your generosity is doing far more than constructing a building—you are creating opportunities for young women to learn practical skills, earn sustainable incomes, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Together, we are building more than a vocational centre; we are building hope, dignity, and lasting transformation.

We are deeply grateful for your partnership and look forward to sharing the completed facility with you soon.
