It is now the beginning of the second semester and all the students are back to the institution. All the 2nd years who had gone for internship are back and they are now finishing their syllabus as they prepare for their exams in September and November. We have two new students who have join the institution and we are looking forward to start new recruitment starting November.
The government body of quantity surveyors also visited the institution in regard with exam centre registration. Our students are still doing their exams from other institutions and we are now sure by the end of this year we will be an exam centre. We are all looking forward to this progress. This is because of YOUR efforts in bringing this institution to the standards that are required by the government. This would not have happened without YOUR efforts in making it the best institution. The structures and the environment YOU have created in this institution are just superb!
We are now working on the completion of the two workshops, We thank those who have helped in building these workshops. We don’t have enough workshops for our students and this will be a big relief. We are looking forward to more support to be able to build another workshop for hairdressing and a dormitory for girls.
Please visit the donation page for this project, we don’t have many donors and it is our prayer that you will pass the word out. We also have sponsorship program where you can sponsor an orphan to get skills. We have many youth who had no opportunity to join high school and they are leading a hopeless life, give them a second chance through sponsorship. There is power in sharing what you are doing in the lives of the less fortunate, let them come and join us.
We are heading to the end of semester as we close for holidays on the 31st March. Students are starting their exams on the 22nd March. The good news this year is that we received our first group of students’ results and all the 13 students who sat for their exams passed. It was wonderful to see our students pass with credits and we had no referrals. This is because of the good environment you have given to our students and for your continued support towards their fees. One of the students by the name Charles Kakai has been employed part time by the public polytechnic and he is continuing with his studies. This is a young youth who would not have seen this brighter future if it were not for YOU! He didn’t know one day he will be who is now in the community if you had not assisted in starting the trade school and supporting in paying his fees.
The second group of the students is now on their job attachment which will end next month. They will resume classes in May and their exams will be in November. It is a great adventure for the students as they go out of the village to practice their career in different companies. These gives them a full picture of how life looks like and it motivates them to work harder and even desire to go further in their education. Without YOUR input this would not have been achieved, young youths who were orphaned when they were young and didn’t have opportunity to study are always excited when they experience this part of life. We appreciate what YOU are doing in these young peoples’ lives.
This year we have thirteen (13) new students undertaking different courses. We are very grateful for your continued support by enabling us manage the institution.
Feel free to share this good news with friends, family and your social media. Please visit this page, and refer others as our donations towards this cause are low, help us continue to reach more by sharing with others.
This is another time of the year for Tumaini Family to thank you for your support and effort in improving the lives of the youth. YOU have made a wonderful family out of your efforts and this has not only changed the lives of the youth but has given our community a new face. This has contributed to a safe environment for the members of the community.
YOUR first students who have been in the institution for two years have just completed their exams, some in grade test and others in artisan. This group of students is now seeing life from a different perspective due to the exposure from their job attachments with different companies. YOU gave them an opportunity not only to get skills but to go out and know they can also work and earn a living. Our second group is preparing for their exams next year and in January we will be admitting the third group of students in this institution. We have two new workshops that were constructed this year and YOUR students have enough room for their practical activities.
Once again we thank you for your efforts and support towards the youth through the trade school. YOU have not only changed the lives of the youth but you have changed the entire community. The members of the community can feel the safe environment because the youth are busy studying and have no business with things that can ruin their lives.
We remind you to spread the word about the good work you are doing in Malava Kenya. Let others come and join YOU in this cause and together we will change the world.
On behalf of the Tumaini Family and the entire community we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Happy New Year!
