Teachings advising the girls in high school
The second semester ended so fast and our students have been busy participating in various activities. The students have worked hard during their internship and they have gained enough experience ready for their exams in the next one month.
We have ten students who have completed their two years Artisan course and their graduation will be in November. We are proud of these young boys and girls as they have done very well. They were committed while undertaking their internships in different fields and recommendations are impressive.
The instructors were involved in other activities to promote what the trade school is doing in their production department. The sewists have particpated in sewing the washable towels for girls and we able to distribute them to two different schools in our ocmmunity. These was a fabulous activity, students extending their hands to other students in need. Most of our girls in high schools have dropped out of school due to lack of sanitary towels. It was good to see the smiling faces and the songs from these girls.
We encourage you to continue sharing us with your friends and families. Most of the youth have dropped out of the trade school because of lack of fees and we will highly appreciate if more people will join and help us these young people to finish their training.
We highly appreciate your efforts in making a difference and for bringing a lasting solution to poverty.

JUST STARTED THE SECOND SEMESTER!
By Rose Bugusu | Director
Our four weeks school holiday was wonderful. We had successful exams for our 1st semester this year and the perfomance were great. This semester is different because all the students who had gone for their internships are back. This semester will be busy for them as they will be working on their theory part of their studies and they will be concentrating on the other supportive subjects like communication skills and entrepreneurship.
We have great reports from their places of internship and its very encouraging to see how determined they are towards their studies. The new students are working hard on their studies and we hope they will have good results.
We have been admitting many girls who dropped out of school due to early pregnancies and are neglected with their children. This is a aresult of extreme poverty in the rural areas which leaves the girls in vulnerable situations. We have had many incidences and we have taken up a responsiblity not only to provide skills to these girls but to work on prevention of the same.
Our trade school funding is very slow and we are requesting that we work together as a team by sharing with others the great differences we are making in the lives of the poor and needy. We have raised many youths from their situations and they are now self employed and others are continuing with their studies. We can still share with others to come alongside us to enable us reach out to more youths.
A word of mouth is strong and we encourage you to help us by spreading the word out.You have done a lot of great things in these lives and we are proud of you.

First Semester of 2019
By Rose Bugusu | Director
The first semester of 2019 has officially started and the students have reported. We had few students who were continuing and all the rest were going for a three months attatchement. The recruitment of new students is going on and we have 15 new students who have started their first year studies.
Last year (2018) we had 20 students who had their tests and their results will be coming out on 20th February. They will have their certificates and proceed on to another level and try to get employment. We are very proud of our students, we have not had failures and most of them have been employed and others are self empolyed. It is also good because some have decided to proceed on with their studies and we cant wait to see them specializing in different fields.
Most of the youths in our trade school are sponsored and they are from needy families, others were orphaned and didnt have an opportunity to continue with their studies. As we build the trade school we are also looking forward to reaching out to more youths in the community. This project has been slow and we are continuing to share with friends to see that the project becomes active and reach out to more.
